I am American.

....is a Japanese phrase we probably won't use all that much, but it's still good to know in case we need it :)

Pete and I are twenty minutes from leaving for the airport and went through our checklist to prepare for the trip:

• Threw out the garbage and recycling
• Filled up the cats' water and food bowls
• Left a way-too-detailed note for the cat sitter
• Emptied the dishwasher
• Gave the cats lots of love and pets
• Drank lots of water
• I did some push-ups--part of my pre-flight ritual 
• And of course, listened to my Musicals iTunes playlist on repeat.

I can't believe we're about to leave for Asia! Can't wait to document all the sights, sounds--oh my gosh, the food!--we'll be experiencing. 

Will check in when we land and get settled in our hotel.
